FLUXWORX was commissioned to work with a local architectural design firm to create this exceptional staircase in a newly constructed home as a central focal point for the home. Given the unorthodox structure- being cantilevered with no support and an added direction change midway through the long span of the staircase- there was a significant amount of work done between FLUXWORX and their retained structural engineer to ensure the final form was safe and stable. Extensive reinforcement to the wood frame structure of the house was required and implemented, and the skeletal steel frame was constructed within the home, then finished with automotive grade paints to match the laser-cut posts.
